Scrubbed Out

Have you ever watched Scrubs and thought that no janitor could really be that bad? Not only do I have a good story to prove I was a terrible janitor but it’s all documented on video!

I cleaned on 2nd shift for about 2 hours out of an 8 hour shift…hmm what to do with 6 hours of free time? Normally I would sleep or watch TV but after hundreds of hours of time theft I decided to make funny videos with my co-janitor….and hospital security guard who also hated his job!

Because the security guard was in on all the videos he was able to cover for us, he would often be a lookout while we filmed in the hospital to make sure no one was around.

Here’s a quick list of top things we did/filmed:
-gallon of milk challenge
-jump through a drop ceiling
-ride shopping cart into therapy pool
-connect rolling chair to elevator with rope, send elevator up, go fast down hallway
-make a slip-n-slide with soap and water in hallway
-sled down stairwell stairs on cafeteria trays
-sneak girls into hospital and swim in pool (hula theme party)

After about a year of this we had filmed 3 DVD’s amounting to about 7 hours of footage! We would distribute them to friends…even a few trustworthy people who worked in the hospital. Over time we actually had a decent following of fans.

The demise of us came after the security guard got fired for something unrelated to our videos. A new guard took over, this guard coincidentally went to high school with my co-janitor. We showed the new guard our vids thinking he was cool. We gave him a copy of some of our vids and he stabbed us in the back by ratting us out.

Well the police got involved because many of our videos involved breaking hospital property. We get called into the police station to be interrogated but here’s the kicker…the police LOVED our videos and thought they were hilarious. “This is the greatest case I have ever worked” said the officer. The police lessened our charge and helped us avoid court.

We totally deserved to be fired and we hope the world enjoys our videos.
