Stabbed in the Back

I work in the library universe but not actually a Librarian. At one point I was working 2 different part time library assistant type jobs. I served one of them loyally for more than 1 1/2 years at a junior college library. I was promised a new contract for the summer and we where about to move into a lovely new library. Then one day 8 months ago one morning out of the blue, I get a phone call it’s the Head Librarian informing me “my services are no longer required.” WTF is that cowardly or what they did it OVER THE PHONE? I had just been totally screwed over stabbed in the back. I know that Seething Witch knows that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my performance or conduct. Also I know Walking Stereotype Librarian knows I need both jobs to makes ends meet and might I add this is only 3 mo’s after paying off a car. I live in Texas which is an “at-will” state. Also, ‘Seething Hydra’ has tenure meaning they are totally bullet-proof. So, as a result my hands are almost totally tied behind my back as far as legal recourse. She also did this behind the Library Deans back because they knew the Dean would stop it and oh-so conveniently timed, Hydra fired me right before going on vacation for more than a month so she could probably avoid having to answer for what she did to me, at least temporarily.
